Skip and Laraine Morrow welcome you to their idyllic bed and breakfast atop their 3-story post and beam home, which they designed and built in 1982. They have two daughters and two cats. Skip, originally from New Jersey, spent the first 6 years of his career after college playing music full time, and drawing cartoons in his spare time. Since 1980 his full time career has been illustration and he's continued to play music part time. Laraine, who migrated from Delaware, began her career as an elementary teacher and taught in the public schools of Delaware and Vermont for 9 years. After their first child came along, she started a preschool in their home and taught her children and others for 7 years.
In addition to the B & B, Skip and Laraine operate The Art of Humor Gallery, featuring Skip's original art and limited edition prints. Skip's internationally published illustrations include books, greeting cards, magazine articles and advertising for national and international corporations. Sixteen years ago Laraine and Skip began performing together as a contemporary acoustic duo. Their music is influenced by country, rock, and traditional styles. The Morrows play regularly in the Valley (currently at the Roadhouse on Friday nights), and also perform for weddings, private parties and community concerts. In 2000 they recorded their first CD, Partners.
Laraine's passion for gardening and Skip's landscaping talents have resulted in their creation of gardens and trails which they have designed and maintained themselves. Please tour their Grounds in Summer and Grounds in Winter.
